Abstract
The main objective of this LTC INCUBATOR is to address the study of archaeological ceramics and historical heritage ceramic materials from an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary point of view, integrating approaches from different fields: Archaeology, Chemistry, Geology, History, Engineering. Furthermore, the objective also includes the development of methodological strategies to study archaeological ceramics with a special view on glazed ceramics, which are characteristic of the modern era period.
This LTC INCUBATOR is considered by both teams as a unique opportunity to catalyze a solid training combined effort on Archaeological Sciences in an international and interdisciplinary environment. Since both laboratories gained international prestige over the last decades, it facilitates the training of researchers and creates synergies and international contact networks. Therefore, the training capacity of both laboratories is of high level and permits the attraction of international researchers and candidates.
